“人生是一段旅程，而不是目的” “Life is a journey not a destination” 在ICC入华13周年之际，我想用文字和大家一起记住我们在这个伟大国度的历程中的美好回忆，记住我们取得过的一些最重要成果，以及我们经历过的一些变革时刻。 On the occasion of our 13th anniversary, I wanted to write a few words to commemorate the wonderful memories of our history in this great country, naming a few of the most important things we have been able to accomplish and some of the transformational moments that we have lived and experienced. 俗话说，千里之行始于足下。我想让你知道，我们的旅程永远不会停步，因为我们将创造如此多的起点，所以永无终点。路途上总会有成长、进步，毫无疑问也有逆境。我们只需要接受一切，总是做正确的事，继续成长，继续活在当下。 They say that a journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step. I want to let you know that our journey is never ending, as we will make so many beginnings that there never will be an end. There's always going to be growth, improvement and without no doubt also adversity. We just got to take it all in and always do what's right, continue to grow and continue to live in the moment. 当我们决定打开中国这个世界上最大的陶瓷市场时，似乎是一个不可能完成的任务，但我们的梦想很大，有着强有力的承诺与动力。 When we took the decision to open in China the biggest ceramic market in the world it seemed like an impossible task, but our dreams were big, and both our commitment and motivation were high. 一个完全未知的个体是如何来到充满巨人的土地并生存下来的？我们必须学会如何对付这些巨人，如何战胜他们。我们知道市场很沉闷，需要一场革命，需要一个不同的参与者、一个变革的推动者。自从决定进入这个市场，我们一直在行业中扮演着重要的角色。 How would a completely unknown entity come to the land of giants and be able to survive? We had to learn how to deal with these giants, how to overcome them. We knew that the market was sleepy and needed a shake-up and a different player, an agent of change. A role we have played in the industry since we decided to open in this market. 我们埋头苦干，坚信自己的计划。我们深知，聪明、创新和快速比成为邻居中个头最大的孩子更加重要。 We kept our heads down and we worked hard, trusting our plan. We knew that being clever, innovative, and fast was more important than being the biggest kid in the neighborhood. 尽管我们的旅程充满挑战，但我们事业生涯的每一个阶段都是非凡而令人惊叹的。从我们作为第一家中美合资瓷砖企业开始，到第一栋在CCIH全面展示现代仿古风格产品的总部大楼，再到CCC的精品旗舰店，以及我们对博洛尼亚展会和国际瓷砖趋势总结报告的标准化等等，都是我们作为一家企业在这些年里的一些重要且传奇的时刻。正是这些时刻塑造并铸就了最好的ICC。 Even though our journey has been challenging, every single phase of our business life has been magical. When we started as the first Sino-American joint venture company, then as the first company to fully propose a contemporary modern rustic style showroom in CCIH, our boutique store proposal in China Ceramic City or the company that standardized the CERSAIE Report and the summary of the International Ceramic Trends have been one of these few of these important and magical moments we have had as a company in all these years we have been in business. These moments have been shaping and making the best version of ICC. The miracle double digit growth of China finally came to an end, the real estate and construction industry collapsed, the world recession have had an incredible impact in our industry and as a result have changed it forever. Brands and showrooms are closing at alarming rates, imports decreased 40%, price wars are at unprecedented rates, all these have sent the industry into a full survival mode. 面对所有这些负面因素，我们有必要问问自己：下一步是什么？我们该怎么办？ With all these negative factors it is valid to ask ourselves: What is next? What should we do? 变化不可避免并且已经在发生，我们应该将其视为创新的契机。创新将帮助我们解决企业所面临的复杂问题。我常说，危机时刻也是机遇时刻。在你认为所有的门都要关上之际，突然会有一扇门随着这些独特的时刻而意外打开。我们需要时刻准备好抓住机会，积极行动，保持与众不同，永远忠于自己。 As change is inevitable and it is already happening, we should embrace this change as an innovation moment. Innovation will help us unravel the most complex problems that we will ever face as a company. I have always said that times of crisis are also times of opportunities. Just when you think all doors are closing suddenly one opens, as these unique moments come unexpectedly, we need to be always ready to seize the opportunity, act diligently, keep staying different and always true to ourselves. 每次面临这些挑战时，我们都能解决它们，因为在过去几年里，我们投入升级了大部分展厅，在这个2023年，我们已经签署了目标数字的新经销商，我们将在市场上建立数十家全新的专卖店。这些信号体现了对我们企业的信任和信心，也证明了ICC瓷砖不断展示出实力、创造力和创新精神，并使企业保持活力和关注度。 Every time we have faced these challenges, we have been able to solve them as in these last couple of years we invested in remodeling most of the showrooms and in this 2023 we have signed the budgeted number of new distributors, and we will build dozens of completely new stores in the market. These signs show the trust and confidence in our company that continuously has shown strength, creativity, and innovation keeping us staying afloat and relevant. We have already started seeing some of the results that are paying off from the actions we have taken in these past 24 months. I know much better times lie ahead of us. We just need to continue staying strong and trust everything we are doing and continue revolutionizing the industry and its business approach with our truly disruptive innovation.
