Last week during CERAMBATH and Canton Fair we had a group of people from our company that came to China to attend these fairs in Guangzhou and Foshan. These persons that came from Mexico and USA not only went to Canton Fair and CERAMBATH, they also visited multiple headquarter showrooms of some of the top domestic brands and also toured a few cities like Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi and Changshu to see and feel the real domestic ceramic market status and development.
上个礼拜在陶博会和广交会期间,我们有一个来自墨西哥和美国的团队来到中国参加广州和佛山的展会,他们不仅仅参加了广交会和陶博会,还参观了一些顶级国产品牌的总部展厅,并且走访了一些城市,像杭州、苏州、无锡和常熟等,去了解和感受中国瓷砖市场的真正的状况与发展。
Here below you will get the general feedback of what they saw and mentioned about this trip to China:
下面是他们对此次中国之行见闻的反馈:
First Canton fair, they said that to an experienced ceramic brand manufacturer and distributor going to Canton Fair does not make much sense unless you are looking for something specific that you may find by going to one place and see many potential options otherwise it just doesn’t make sense going there anymore and instead only focus on CERAMBATH.
首先是广交会,他们说对于一个有经验的陶瓷生产企业和经销商来说,去广交会没有太大意义,除非是寻找一些很具体的东西,去到这个集中了很多商品的地方有可能找到它,否则去那里没有什么太大的意义,应该专注陶博会。
Second, CERAMBATH their feedback was positive in regards that they saw a very significant improvement in how most brands upgraded and adjusted their booths. They no longer look super simple and only showing loose pieces, the brands are more aware of the importance of having and better designed booth space. Some of the brands booth spaces were bigger and nicer decorated and it was very noticeable their improvement all over the fair, specially where the temporary booths were located. The products look better, the styles, colors and finishes keep improving and they are quickly reacting and aligning to the international trends. The attendance to the fair to them seemed lower than previous shows.
第二点,他们对陶博会的反馈是积极的,看到了非常显著的提升。大部分品牌都升级和调整了他们的展位而不再仅是非常简单地展示单片样板了,这些品牌更加意识到拥有一个设计更出色的展位的重要性。一些品牌的展位大一些也装饰得更好,他们的提升在展会上随处可见而且非常明显,尤其是那些现代风格的展位。产品看上去更好,风格、颜色以及表面处理都在持续提升,而且他们对于国际趋势都非常迅速地做出了反应并与之看齐。在他们看来,参展人数看上去比上一次要少。
Third, the tour of headquarters showrooms of top Chinese Brands was something worth sharing and discussing. Some of these brands just keep improving and making their main headquarter showrooms more impressive. It is quite obvious in some cases the involvement of Italian designers in the making of these showrooms and offices. There are more and more brands that just make them as nice as any or even better than Italian brands. They are extremely well finished, decorated and are something to be very proud of. The partnerships with Italian Brands and Designers are quite obvious even if you don’t ask or are familiar with them.
第三点,对于顶级中国品牌的总部展厅的参观很值得分享与讨论。这些品牌在继续提升并且让他们的总部展厅变得令人印象更加深刻 。非常明显的是意大利设计师在其中一些展厅与办公室设计中的参与。越来越多的品牌把它们打造得和意大利品牌一样好甚至更好。它们都完成得很完美,装饰也十分到位,让人自豪。就算你不问或者对他们不熟悉,他们和意大利品牌及设计师的合作关系也是显而易见的。
The fourth feedback is related to market situation and also related to the headquarters of the different brands. As you know well it doesn’t matter which city you go to most of these top brands always have showrooms pretty much anywhere you go to and to the cities we went was not an exception. Some of the things they noticed right away was the significant improvement of the showrooms and how more contemporary they look (Some of the brands) and how much more the bigger sizes are displayed in spaces or loose pieces. And when I say big it ranges from 90x90, 60x120, 90x180 and even larger sizes like 120x240 and 160x320 that you see more often in the showrooms. But there is always a brand or two that have them displayed very well because they are very focused either making them or importing them through their partnership brands. Unfortunately, one not very positive comment was the big difference that exist between what you see at the corporate headquarter showrooms and the real market showrooms; there is a significant difference. The real market showrooms are never as nice as the corporate and many times they look quite obsolete. The improvements in general on most showrooms are better with all their contemporary proposals, the decoration in general look much better and you can tell than in the not so far future everything will look so much better and in line with international markets and not so Chinese anymore.
第四个反馈关于市场形势以及不同品牌的总部。正如你所知的一样,无论你去到哪一个城市,大部分这些顶级品牌在当地都有展厅,我们去的城市也不例外。他们马上意识到的事情之一是展厅的显著提升,以及它们看上去有多现代(一些品牌),以及有多少更大规格的产品被应用于空间或者单片展示。我说的大规格,指的是从900x900mm、600x1200mm、900x1800mm甚至像1200x2400mm和1600x3200mm这样的更大规格。总有一两个品牌将它们展示得非常出色,因为他们非常专注,无论是自己生产还是通过合作品牌从国外进口。遗憾的是,一个不是非常正面的评价是,总部展厅与终端店面效果的不同,差异明显 。终端展厅就是没有总部的展示效果这么好,甚至很多时候看上去有些过时。总的来说,大部分的展厅随着采用现代风格方案得到了提升,装饰总的来说看上去更好,而且你可以说在不久的将来所有东西都会看上去更加棒,与国际市场接轨。
In just one year that these people did not come they saw a very impressive adjustment for the better in pretty much all the fields of our business: Product improvements, finish improvements, product design improvements, showrooms, sizes,colors, styles more in line with international trends and so on.
这些人仅仅一年没来,他们看到了我们行业方方面面令人印象非常深刻的调整:产品的提升、表面处理的提升、产品设计提升、展厅、规格、颜色、风格更与国际趋势同步等等。
To me personally I say to them that China in the very near future just a few years from now (5-8) will become a reference and not only a country where you come to buy products at a low price. China will become a reference in showroom design,quality products and many more interesting things like trade shows. This is already happening and they very well noticed!
就我个人而言,我对他们说中国在不远的将来,也许就离现在5-8年时间,将会成为一个参考而不仅仅是你过来购买便宜产品的地方。中国将在展厅设计、品质产品以及很多更有趣的事情比如贸易展会等方面成为一个参考。这已经在发生了,他们也都意识到了。
