In this difficult times many companies start doing anything they can to improve their slow sales, image, branding, marketing, etc.
在这种困难的时候,很多企业开始竭其所能,做任何能够提升销售,形象,品牌推广,市场营销的事情。
Some hire dedicated external professional marketing firms (Which some by the way maybe even more focused in the domestic ceramic industry), some others hired professional and very expensive designers to help the brands not only with the construction, design and decoration of their showrooms and offices even at times they also form part of the whole branding strategy.
有些聘请了专业的市场推广公司(可能这类公司会更专注于国内瓷砖市场),有些聘请了专业且身价不菲的设计师,不光在展厅和办公室的施工,设计和装饰上也因此受益,甚至有时候这也能够成为整个品牌推广战略的一部分。
Lately (And this not necessarily is something new) some brands are hiring Italian technicians either for product development or product design to help the companies improve their overall products in how they look, a better selection (maybe more international or trendy) and specially the final aspect, texture and feeling of the products.
最近(这并不一定是新的现象)一些品牌聘用了意大利的技术人员,在产品设计和开发层面上,全面帮助企业,如从产品外观,设计(更加国际化或者潮流),特别是在最终产品的处理和质感入手,全面提升它们的产品。
Quite honestly I believe that this certainly would help these brands for sure, but my questions here are the following:
说实话,我相信这肯定会帮助到这些品牌,但是我有如下问题:
1. For how long this would help? Only for the time they are here making these developments?会获益多久?只是他们在这里做研发的时候吗?
2. Is it necessary hiring them for 2-3 years or even more?有必要聘用他们2-3年或者更久吗?
3. Would they stay for this long time?他们会待这么久吗?
4. Is making better products the solution to improve sales?做更好地产品是提升销售的解决途径吗?
5. Don’t you think that also is important not only to make a good product but also as well knowing how to use it, install it, apply it in a space?你不认为除了制造好产品之外知道如何安装使用它们,空间中应用它们也很重要吗?
6. Would the foreigners be capable of understanding whet the market wants, needs?外国人能够懂得这个市场需要什么吗?
7. Would they be capable of understanding the company’s culture? Needs? Strategy?他们了解这个企业的文化?需求和战略吗?
8. Would the technicians be capable of doing good work without all the resources they have back in Italy, like better glazes, machines, inks, etc.?之前在意大利习以为常的资源如更好的釉料,设备,墨水,在这里都没有的情况下,这些技术人员还可以做好工作吗?
9. And finally is it economically profitable to do it because of the time needed and costs of these resources? 最后,考虑到需要的时间和花费的资源,这是一笔划算的经济账吗?
Maybe there are very good answers for the questions above and would certainly help the brands for sure!
如果对于上述这些问题会有很好的答案,这样的话肯定这些企业会因此受益!
But I think while this is perfectly fine and a good option for the short term, I truly believe the ultimate solution is to upgrade, train and improve the skills, abilities, professionalism of your very own personnel starting with yourself.
但是我认为,这种方式在短期是非常好的选择,而最终的解决方案还是从自己开始,去培训,提升和升级你自己的团队的技能,能力和专业度。
